Severne Stories

Revolutionary reports from the Australian sail brand.

The third issue of Severne's Revolution Mag has just hit cyberspace and is packed full of Aussie antics from head designer Ben Severne, and his team of world-class rippers. Check it out HERE.

First up Ben discusses the finer points of sail design in terms of aesthetics in his 'Art vs Science' article, which makes an interesting read about cloth cut and the associated costs.

The next big feature sees a return of former PWA wave world champion, Scott McKercher (Starboard, Severne) aka 'Gramps' to the limelight, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons - he's back in rehab! Thankfully though, a re-think on his operation should see him hitting some thick Margaret River lips for at least another ten years! From everyone here at the PWA, we wish him all the best with his recovery.

Next up our very own lensman, JC flexes his fingers and returns to a bit of writing. After snapping his way through South America with McKercher and Timo Mullen (Starboard, Severne) pens hit the paper for reports on Chile, Brazil, and Peru.

Following that JC continues to pay homage to the Severne team by giving us the inside line on the man behind the brand, Ben Severne. JC even opens the floor to the team, allowing them to get their own back on Ben - it's a good job he lets them all go 'testing' on an almost permanent basis!

To wrap the mag up, Chris Pressler (Starboard, Severne) gets up close and personal with female slalom sensation, Morane Demont (Starboard, Severne). And aerial anarchist, Boujmaa Guillol (Starboard, Severne, Mystic) reveals some top looping tips.

Enjoy the read, HERE.
